Why must we encourage so many Republicans to Support Trump’s Agenda?

Mike Hoagland editorial asks Why must we encourage so many Republicans to Support Trump’s Agenda? Last night the big, beautiful bill barely passed! Republicans should be on autopilot but they are not. We agree with Mike that we must demand they support trump’s agenda. The reality is without him so many of them are a sad, uninspiring lot of lightweights.

There is so much going on in the world and our country that it is difficult to cut through all the noise to arrive at a rational point of view. We all may not realize it yet that Donald Trump survived multiple assassination attempts and became president for a reason. I believe this is the result of divine intervention. His agenda, which got him elected, will save our country and the world. I am not going to dwell on the haters but rather the republicans.

Republicans in Wash DC are the impediment to the implementation of Trump’s agenda. Many don’t have the courage to do what’s best for the country because they have to answer to their supporters whose interest may be at odds with an agenda that is best for the entire country. SALT is an example of this. Blue state republicans can’t support the Great Big Beautiful Bill currently being worked on in the house. Trump ran on an agenda that took courage because many of his positions went against traditional republican ideology. His agenda got him 77 million plus votes. What I find amazing is that every republican candidate now runs as a MAGA supporter. Yet, most have no idea what the agenda is. Personally, I trust President Trump’s judgement. The true America First MAGA republicans know that they represent a movement that transcends party. The establishment republicans don’t get it.

President Trump knows that the key to getting our financial house in order is through growth. He has received approximately 14 trillion dollars in investment commitments to the United States. Manufacturing is the key to our survival. Making things is important. Making products that are required for our security is imperative. That is what will grow our middle class which is the backbone of this country. Trump has an initiative to train 1 million tradesmen that will be necessary to fill the job requirements in the near term. Our federal reserve policy is an impediment for our finances. The chairman will be replaced in 2026 when his term is up. The expenses to run our government with all its obligations are what they are. We can shrink our work force, eliminate duplicative activities, stop waste, fraud and abuse but all else must be funded. Growth will generate revenues in excess of expenses which along with tariffs will begin reducing the national debt. If the fed will reduce interest rates, our interest payment on the debt will be lessened.

If republicans could all get on board with Trump’s agenda and trust that he and his financial advisors are the best in the world, we will see an explosion in growth we couldn’t even imagine. It will take political courage and there is just not enough of that to go around in this country. I know that if this legislation is not passed, we lose the mid-terms and there will be nothing but impeachment hearings. We risk the White House in 2028. If this bill passes, we secure the mid-terms and the White House for decades. Thanks for listening.
