We need a Florida First Movement in Florida
Today we share an editorial penned by Mike Hogland the President of the Heritage Isle Republican Club here in Brevard County. Mike is MAGA and America First to the core. In today editorial which we have titled We need a Florida First Movement in Florida he eloquently outlines the problems We the People have with our representation in Tallahassee and in our county.
We agree with his editorial. We encourage you to read it and let us know what you think! We the People of Florida have to wake up.
MIKE HOAGLAND’S EDITORIAL
Remember how good we felt on November 6th, the day after? There is a feeling of great positivity throughout the country by “We the People”. Donald Trump has affected the entire globe as people across the world are adopting our mantra of America First. People are looking to replicate our populist message. Every day we see our president remaking our corrupt government. He has done more in his first week than any president in my lifetime. He has fulfilled more than half of his campaign promises in his first 2 days. It is truly exciting to witness our corrupt government being dismantled. Trump said he was going to drain the swamp, and he is.
While we witness all the positive changes taking place daily, we have to observe the obstacles to the remaking of our government to reflect the preferences of “We the People”. The Marxists, democrats, globalists, Trump haters, lobbyists and media are working overtime in an attempt to thwart Trump’s agenda. Almost every one of Trump’s cabinet nominees is going through hell. There are delays and character smears. Truth is irrelevant with the haters. McConnell and Murkowski are worse than RINOs. We are fortunate in Florida that we have a great group of political representatives in Wash DC. They represent the America First agenda and we can be proud. Is Randy Fine going to fit in with our current elected officials or is he going to be counter productive by imposing his personaL agenda?
Unfortunately, our republican representatives in Tallahassee do not reflect the America First agenda which “We the People” supported in this presidential election. Our state politicians have such an overwhelming majority in both the house and senate that they do not concern themselves with anything other than getting reelected and feathering their nests. I think Tallahassee is as corrupt as Wash DC. Trump will drain the rot from the Wash DC sewer. Who will take on the corruption in our state? This legislature does not take direction from Ron DeSantis. DeSantis has been a great governor but he has to contend with a corrupt republican party in Florida. How will this end? Eventually, there will be a Florida First movement supported by “We the People” of Florida. It will take campaign finance reform to get to a level playing field. Locally, “We the People” must gather all those in our community to create the plan to identify candidates that reflect the values of America First which can become Florida First. No more legacy politicians! We must have the discipline to hurt feelings when it comes to choosing our representatives.
I will close for now. My point in this writing is to point out that as diligent patriots, our work is never done. As Ronald Reagan said “we are only one generation away from losing our republic”. Diligence is a requirement. Donald Trump has saved our republic this time and maybe, even the world. There are entities that will try to destroy us because they cannot succeed within a free society. Freedom is our strength. At this time, let’s, also, enjoy the everyday successes of Donald Trump’s administration.
